St Brigid‘s Cross is a symbol associated with St Brigid, one of the patron saints of Ireland. It is also believed to have been used in earlier Celtic customs. They are traditionally given around the time of the Celtic festival of Imbolc and are hung in the home home to offer protection. Therefore, they also make a lovely house warming or wedding gift.
I make these crosses from willow (traditionally they are made from rushes or straw). They are secured with with floristry wire and natural raffia.
The crosses measure approximately 30cm from point to point. Each is handmade using natural willow so will be unique and may vary slightly from the photos. The colour may vary depending on the variety of willow used.
The Crosses are made to order and delivery time is currently 2-3 weeks.
Being an environmentally friendly business is important to me and I reuse packaging and/or use recyclable packaging where possible.
